Social Media -- Does It Matter?
As 2017 dawns, social media is taking over. Whether it's Snapchat, Facebook, or Instagram, everyone uses social media networks--and most people use all three! Social media is no longer just for giggling teenagers and prom pictures. These days, social media is an important avenue for marketing of all types. Here's a few tips to help you get the most of social media, whether you are looking to buy or sell a house.
1. Get Your Friends Involved
The average Facebook user has around 400 friends. If you have 400 Facebook friends, and each your friends has 400 Facebook friends, then you likely have access to well over 75,000 unique Facebook users. That means your Facebook account could potentially market your house (or advertise your Want ad!) to 75,000 people. So it's a good place to get started. Post pictures of your house, and mention that you're thinking of selling. Even just a status-- "Thinking of selling my home. (Insert address, # bedrooms & bathrooms, asking price). Anyone interested?"
2. Find a Social Media-Savvy Real Estate Agent
Let's face it. Buying and selling houses is a complicated, stressful process, and everyone needs a real estate agent. Make sure that yours is up-to-date with the latest in social media marketing. At the Socher Team, social media is a valuable resource that we invest in each and every day. With the Socher Team, your Open House will be on Snapchat, and your home will be advertised through social media in addition to more traditional online and print publications.
