Greater Cleveland is filled with idyllic suburbs. It can be hard to decide where to live.
Here's some information on University Heights that might help you make a decision.
University Heights is the rare suburb that manages to be safe, welcoming, and youthful all at once. With half of the population under 30 years old, University Heights is home to many students and families. Although University Heights is technically a college town, the home of John Carroll University, it doesn't play into any of those negative stereotypes. On the contrary, University Heights is known for being quiet and calm, with very little traffic outside of the main streets. Most of the homes have generous front and back yards, and the neighbors are virtually guaranteed to be nice.
University Heights is also one of the most affordable neighborhoods of its kind in the country, with 2 and 3-bedroom houses regularly selling for under $200,000. It shares a strong public school system with the bordering neighborhood Cleveland Heights, and has a very nice and cozy public library. The public swimming pool, Purvis Park, features a big water slide and several different pools, including a wading pool for toddlers and their parents. University Heights features an array of restaurants, including Geraci's on Warrensville for traditional Italian, and Issi's on Cedar for Kosher pizza and Italian.
